Heyy guys!
Yeah I know I haven't blogged in ages, huh?
Well that's cos I've been in Japan!
Yup, I went there on holiday with a tour group and lemme tell you, it was
AMAZING.
The food, the people, the shops, the scenery, the places, EVERYTHING.
its SO beautiful :D
i tried uploading the photos on facebook but didn't seem to work T.T
So I shall attempt it later, again.
Ok so while I was in Japan, I kept a diary of the events happening on my iPod touch notes.
Which is good, in case I forget what I did on a certain day.
So read on to find out what I did on my amazing adventure!
JAPAN - DAY 2
(Day 1 was spent on a 7 hour flight to Japan)
Universal Studios! :)
We went to USJ on the first day that we arrived, straight from Kansai Airport.
It was quite a long journey though. But the scenery outside was beautiful.
THE WEATHER. That's something else.
It was late spring and early autumn, so it was cold cold cold!
It was about 10 degrees celsius when we stepped outside.
Anyways, at USJ,the tour group split up and we went on our own.
We went to walk and we didn't really go on the rides as my mum and sis were kinda scared.
So yeah, we just walked along....
It was fun though! We got to take tons of amazing photos. We went on the Back to the Future ride at last, just to use up our Express Ticket.
We were planning on going to Shrek's 4D Adventure, but the wait was a crazy 100 minutes!
We also wanted to go on JAWS but the wait for that was 40 minutes. We decided not to go cos we'd already been on these resides before in Florida's Universal Studios.
Then after that it was time to meet back up with our tour group and go to the hotel room, jalan jalan, makan makan and... SHOP :D
Our hotel, the Cross Hotel in Osaka, was quite nice. They had 3 beds and a toilet bowl that was heated as it was autumn and since it was freezing we might've frozen our butts if it weren't heated!
So after that we went on a walk just to the lights and shops, then we went to eat Japanese Shabu Shabu steamboat! It was good, and then we went our separate ways again.
We saw all the lights and the shops and took plenty of pictures, but only bought yummy snacks as clothes were quite expensive there.
JAPAN - DAY 3
Today was quite interesting. I'm not one for historical ruins, but this one got me peaked!
We went to different Buddhist temples(though it wasnt really my type, as I'm a Christian. :)) and saw a temple and mum told me that it was made of GOLD.
We continued to walk and I took plenty of photos including the sun and the trees, because this trip, i was pretty amazed and obsessed with sun exposures.
We went to a few more temples where we saw some Japanese kids dressed up in kimonos for some special coming-of-age event. Seriously, Japanese kids are INSANELY adorable. And the way that they pose, you can't help but go "awww!"
We went to one temple where there was a love stone and what you had to do was walk from one stone to the other with your eyes closed , that person in mind , and if u manage to touch the other stone with your eyes closed, your wish will be granted. And I managed to do that!!! :D
Then after that we went for the bullet train! From what we see before we get onto the train, it is crazy fast. But when you're inside, it doesn't feel like its going very fast, but it is outside.
After that we came back to our amazing hotel where our tour guide said that there was a huge LED tv in each of our rooms. And he said that if you switch off the lights, it can be romantic.
But when we went up to our room, all we saw was a small little TV, but then we realized the big TV he was talking about was our HUGE window. It had an amazing view of Japan , and the window was huuuuge. The whole of Japan has not one inch empty, its seriously amazing.
JAPAN - DAY 4
Today was a short, short day, due to loooong bus rides.
We went to Mount Fuji, the tallest mountain in Japan, with snow on top. When we got there, MAN IT WAS FREEZING!!! It was probably -5 degrees or something.
When we breathed out, you can see your breath coming out in smoke! I love that! Its sooo cool.
At the end of the day we checked into our hotel and there was a hot spring. I tried it, but it was WAY too hot and I was out of there in 10 minutes, cos i couldn't take it anymore and I didn't like random people seeing me naked....yuck.
JAPAN - DAY 5
Ahh, today was goood. We went shopping! We went to the Ginza Shopping District, Harajuku and Shinjuku. We stayed at Shinjuku on our 2 extended nights.
Ginza was SO expensive and we didn't really buy much, so we just looked.
I wanted to buy a LeSportsac backpack cos mine's falling apart, but you'll be shocked at the price.
They had all kinds of branded stuff there, like Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Coach.
Next was Harajuku. They had cool clothes but they were too girlish for my taste.
Then Shinjuku. We went to an electronics shop there but my lenses were SO expensive. But then I saw Kinokuniya and I bought a book called Hetty Feather, by my favorite author, Jacqueline Wilson!
JAPAN - DAY 6
This was the last day in Japan WITH our tour, but we were extending 2 days.
Today was soooo fun! We went to Tokyo Disneyland and we only went for 3 rides because it was very crowded. One of them was a 3 D show called Captain EO which was so freaking LAME.
Then we went for Mark Twain's Riverboat, then after that we went to buy the smoked turkey leg to eat. Its sooo good. You can't find it ANYWHERE in Malaysia, seriously.
Then we went to my favorite ride, the Haunted Mansion. It wasn't that scary cos it was combined with Tim Burton's Nightmare before Christmas, so yeah, I kinda prefer the one in Florida.
Then after that, just as we were about to leave, we went to World Bazaar and I bought a Mike from Monsters Inc hat. Its sooo cuuuute! Its got his face on it.
Oh yeah, and we saw the Jubilation(?) parade too, and almost all the Disney Characters showed up. Beauty(from Beauty and the beast), Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty with their princes, Pinocchio and the crew, Pooh and Friends, the Incredibles, Lilo and Stitch, Mickey, Minnie and the rest, Monsters Inc - they didn't show Boo, which was kinda stupid considering shes one of the most important subjects in the show. Oh and also, we saw Tinkerbell, PeterPan and Captain Hook and Pocahontas! It was coooooool!
Then after that we had the most AMAZING dinner ever. We barbequed at a restaurant.
You could cook your own meat, have ice cream, make ramen(OMNOMNOM) and your very own cotton candy, which obviously i <3ed.
Then we went back to the hotel and exchanged Facebook addresses and all.
The next morning we went to Narita Airport and we said farewell to the rest of our tour group people, and went off with another family who was also extending.
JAPAN - THE LAST FEW DAYS.
On our last couple of days, we shopped, ate and did whatever.
We went to a dept store where we bought some stuff,
and GUESS WHAT! i bought my first ever lomo camera, Diana F+! Look below to see da picturrre!
Izn't eet bootiful?
I named it DeeDee :)
Ok here's a list of the things I bought:
